Crisis in CHP Tunceli! Provincial administration has locked themselves in the party and started a vigil: "We are not leaving the building."

CHP Tunceli Provincial Chairman Kemal Özcan claimed that they had been trying to maintain internal peace since taking office, but that former Tunceli Deputy Polat Şaroğlu polarized the party and caused the party to lose in the local elections.
Özcan, who claimed that the headquarters remained unresponsive despite reporting the situation numerous times, locked himself in the party’s provincial building with his party members and started a vigil.
Provincial Chairman Kemal Özcan stated that they had conveyed the negative developments to the deputy chairman and had received no response. He said, “Since taking office, we have been making every effort to maintain internal peace within the party. However, despite all our efforts, we have been unable to prevent our former MP Polat Şaroğlu from polarizing the party and pitting members against one another. On Saturday, we explained Polat Şaroğlu's situation in Tunceli to our Deputy Chairman responsible for Organizations, Mr. Ensar Aytekin, but we have still not received a response. Yesterday, we explained the situation to Deputy Chairman responsible for Organizations, Ali Abbas, but again, we have not received a response.”
Provincial Chairman Özcan claimed that Şaroğlu was also the son of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, acting in his own interests, and said, “Polat Şaroğlu first prevented Ali Mustafa Çelik, whom he saw as a rival, from winning the election by not supporting him and not working with him in the local elections. On the other hand, by dismissing the Pertek and Ovacık districts, which he saw as obstacles, and by replacing them with an administration that would not disobey his own words, he moved to the second stage and overcame another obstacle. After doing this, he devised a new scenario to remove the central district administration, which he saw as an obstacle, and with this scenario he discarded the central district administration and tried to pave the way for his own administration. He was successful in this to some extent. He forgot something while doing all this: if he thinks he paved the way by winning the districts, he is very mistaken. On the contrary, if he thinks he won, let me say this clearly: Polat Şaroğlu lost, and he lost for good. Because even though he said he would not take sides in the provincial mayoral election, he has shown that he is, and as a result, both in the local elections and in the future.” "He has forgotten that the final decision in parliamentary elections will be made by the people. Unfortunately, Polat Şaroğlu has no public support," he said.
Özcan stated that they will not leave the party building until their demands are met and said:
"Polat Şaroğlu interferes with the youth branch elections, the women's branch elections, the district elections, the central district elections, the appointment of delegates, the provincial administration elections, and even though the election calendar has already begun, he can have two important districts like Pertek and Ovacık dismissed for not obeying him, and he can appoint people who refuse to obey him. And on the very day that the Istanbul provincial headquarters is dismissed by court order and trustees are appointed in their place, he can do so without hesitation, with the support of the headquarters. So, friends, weren't we against trustees? Weren't we all against them in the squares? Weren't we all against them when trustees were appointed to our municipalities and provincial headquarters? Weren't we all against this? Weren't we fighting for justice? What can we say about these actions while we seek justice elsewhere? It's impossible for someone who calls himself a 'Republican People's Party member' to accept these actions and remain silent. He is also our roommate during his time as a member of parliament and our current Deputy Chairman responsible for organizations, Mr. Ensar Aytekin. Polat Şaroğlu can easily say these things in the environments he is present and in the media he does through our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, who is our key figure. Since our headquarters has ignored our problems despite all our warnings, we have made the decision that we will not leave the party, and we will not abandon the party until headquarters listens to us. Polat Şaroğlu can confidently tell people that he is a reformist at headquarters and a Kemalist when he comes to Tunceli, and he has no qualms about misleading them. In other words, he can almost easily change license plates whenever it suits his interests. Our organizations have remained silent until now, saying, "Don't let our party be harmed." We can no longer remain silent in the face of this injustice. Our organizations cannot be subordinated to anyone. That is why we are here; we are not abandoning our party against injustice and unlawfulness, and we are committed to our party. (Source: DHA)
